A get out with Scotty
Andrew Morrisey — 5 min read
We are on our way to the Fresh & Go for a get out, a soda pop and cigarettes for Scotty, when he stops walking and snaps his head around like the hawks I see on my evening river walks, one that's just sensed a rabbit in the wildgrass.
We are on our way to the Fresh & Go for a get out, a soda pop and cigarettes for Scotty, when he stops walking and snaps his head around like the hawks I see on my evening river walks, one that's just sensed a rabbit in the wildgrass. We are close to the Fresh & Go—I can hear the ads on the gas pump televisions far better than the echoes of the Aldridge Street dumpster. My apartment overlooks the thing, but Scotty is who's always in and out of it, and he's the one who makes some money that way, who looks back toward F Building and says, "Hey, we should hang out on your deck instead."
